Day 1
Fly west to Ulgii
Morning flight over the Altai range, afternoon in Ulgii's Kazakh bazaar, gear check with your guide.
Day 3
Into the Tsagaan Gol valley
Drive up the White River valley past petroglyph fields, first camp within sight of the glacier.
Day 5
Potanin glacier base camp
Trek onto the moraine below Mongolia's longest glacier, with the five peaks of Tavan Bogd above you.
Day 8
Kazakh eagle-hunter family
Descend to summer pastures and stay with a herding family who still hunt with golden eagles.
Day 11
Fly back to Ulaanbaatar
Final morning in the valley, afternoon flight east, farewell dinner in the capital.
